Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page supporting Cancer Support Yorkshire.

This is our way of thanking the charity for their help and support to Andrew Wellock’s brush with cancer and about his introduction to the wonderful people at Cancer Support Yorkshire.

During 2016 "Raise2Save", set up by Andrew's daughter Hannah and a group of school friends, raised approximately £8,000 and became one of the largest fundraisers for the
charity during the year.

2men, 1 boat & a gofer looks to continue the fundraising through 2017 to help Cancer Support do what it does best - to be there for families every step of the way (during and after treatments) and to provide a true personal service that perhaps only a small charity would be able to.

So, 2017's challenge, now that Andrew is well enough, is to canoe the full length of the Leeds-Liverpool canal and then complete the journey arriving at Goole via the Aire & Calder Navigation, a total distance of approximately 160 miles.
