Hi Everyone,
I have sadly lost family and some very close friends to illness in the past few months and felt it necessary to do something special in 2013 to acknowledge and pay my utmost respect, and to say a special thank you for all that they have given and shared with me in my life.
I have enrolled on the Deloitte 2013 Ride Across Britain (RAB) Challenge, which involves cycling 960 miles over 9 days from John O’Groats to Land’s End in June 2013. It will take me 80 hours in the saddle and give me the ideal opportunity to personally reflect on this sad loss, and to celebrate all they achieved in their lifetimes.
I will hopefully accomplish this mental and physical challenge with great support from my own family and close friends, and in doing so I would very much like to raise money for the 25th Stirling (Dunblane) Boys’ Brigade (BB).
I fully appreciate everyone is struggling in these hard economic times, but if you are able to contribute in any small way it will be greatly appreciated by me, BB team leaders and Charity staff.  
When you see the young boys of the 25th Stirling (Dunblane) Boys’ Brigade you simply realise how positive and effective the movement is in developing the boys of today to be good men tomorrow.
