Heavy Metal Truants 2015 · 10 May 2015

Nordoff and Robbins is the UK’s largest music therapy charity, with a unique approach shaped by more than 60 years of practice. Through the power of music, it breaks through the barriers caused by life-limiting illness, disability and social isolation. The charity does this through providing music therapy to people across the UK, whilst also training the music therapists of the future and funding research to measure and improve the impact of its work.

Story

I'm taking part in Heavy Metal Truants 2015, a three-day bike ride from London to Download Festival to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust, Childline and Nordoff Robbins.

Until I started training for this, I hadn't sat on a bicycle for something like 15 years. The total length of the ride is 161 miles. Suffice to say that this will be a real challenge... but these are three very worthy causes as I'm sure you'll all agree and I love a challenge, so please donate generously!

THANK YOU
