Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity is dedicated to supporting the PRM neonatal unit, in Glasgow. Using funds donated by our supporters, we help the unit to buy equipment, and enable projects, that directly help the babies looked after on the unit.

Story

On Saturday 19th October 2019 I am aiming to complete the Speyside marathon, better known as the Dramathon.

I have been training hard over the past few months to get my body ready for my first ever 26.2 mile event.

It has been a challenging experience but every long training run undertaken has been made easier by comparing the insignificance of my struggles with those which my brave daughter Amy had to endure in her short life. Amy keeps me going every step of the way!

I shall be running this marathon in aid of the Princess Royal Maternity Neonatal Fund. Every single penny will go directly to PRM Neonatal Unit, to be spent on the things that those working on the unit feel are most essential to ensure all premature babies and their families are given the best care and support possible.

The PRM Neonatal Unit was heaven and hell for us. Hell for obvious reasons but daily we also saw glimpses of heaven in the perfect love shown to our precious daughter by the angels of this wonderful place of hope.

The years pass but our gratitude never fades!

Please donate what you can. Every penny counts.
