Story

"NEVER AGAIN!" I told everyone, I even told the Finance Manager of SWALLOW I would sooner do a bungee jump or a parachute jump for charity next time, at least I'd know it would be over in a short time, unlike training for and running a half marathon.

That was simply the hardest thing I have had to prepare myself for, running in the cold winter months, through rain and wind.  Race day was a buzz, but 10 miles in the knees started to creak and the last three miles (which felt like 30!) I hobbled over the line in just over 3 hours.

A week later and I'm buying myself a new pair of running shoes which then collect dust over the summer months.

Then the moment came a couple of weeks back when I made the decision to put myself through this all over again.  I've since found out that SWALLOW are all run by Jedi's and I'm pretty sure I've been Jedi Mind Tricked but I can't confirm.

So here I am again, cap in hand, more unfit and overweight than I've ever been, asking you nicely to give what you can to this fantastic charity.  Through your generosity last time I raised £650, all of this money, every single penny, went straight back into the charity to help their Members, all of who suffer with learning difficulties.

I have my personal reasons for doing this (that 3 hour time I did last time is going to get smashed & my kids keep calling me chubby!), but the main reason is to raise as much money as I can for this amazing charity.

It's really easy, I'll do all the hard work, you just give whatever you can.

Thank you all so much in advance and wish me luck.
