Story

In January 2021 our neighbor's son, Christopher Cowe, passed away tragically from an undiagnosed heart condition – there were no signs or symptoms. Christopher was 15 and only a couple of months away from his 16th Birthday. He was loved and adored by his family and many friends and was growing into a happy and confident young man with his whole future ahead of him when he was suddenly taken, devastating family, friends and the wider community within Currie and Balerno. All who knew him have felt his loss deeply. No one should lose their precious son or daughter at such a young age.

By running the Edinburgh Marathon I am hoping to raise funds to help towards running screening events in Christopher’s memory for young people within our local area.

Whilst many of you know that I do enjoy keeping fit and healthy, I have never ran a marathon before and have set myself a slightly challenging target of 3 hours 30 mins... Every penny you donate will help spur me on over the line.
