Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Hi and thanks for visiting!

Having managed to cycle 100 miles in a day (once, ever), I have lost the plot and set myself a bit of a challenge......  I have agreed to ride from Land's End to John O'Groats over nine days in September, averaging about 110 miles per day.  I have never cycled that far in one day and have never had to get up the next day and the next day to do it all over again.  As you will have spotted, it's uphill all the way!!

Training started very slowly due to a trapped nerve that kept me off the bike for April/May (yup, I am too old for this) but I am now putting the miles in.  This will be a massive physical and mental challenge, and I will be immensely grateful for any contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Society to help me on my way!

Oh yes, the "other" challenge..... I'll be camping!

MS is a condition that affects the brain or the spinal cord in an estimated 100,000 people in the UK, including a few close to home.  All contributions will go directly to the charity and not to the costs of entry, camping, or of ferrying me and the bike to the start and from the finish.

If you want details of the ride/route, please search for Deloitte Ride Across Britain.  Feel free to visit!!
