Story
On Sunday 15 September 2013 I will be running the Great North Run in an aim to support a charity which is close to my heart, Erb’s Palsy Group.
Some of you may or may not know that my girlfriend, Caroline, was born with a condition called Erb’s Palsy. For those unaware, Erb;s Palsy is a condition which effects the nerves in the arm, resulting in a lack of growth and strength.
Caroline still has to deal with the effects of her condition on a daily basis and this is something which can effect actions and basic movements that the majority of us take for granted.
With the support of her family and the number of people she has met at the Erb’s Palsy Group days out, Caroline has learnt to live with her condition and manages to lead a fairly ordinary life. Some however aren't so lucky and rely heavily on those in the know at Erb’s Palsy Group.
By raising money for the group I hope to be able to give others with the condition the chance to be able to live their life the way Caroline has. Hopefully all your donations will go towards helping others live their day to day life with a smile on their face, coping with their condition along the way.
