Marathon for Albie the 'epilepsy warrior'!

After a series of 'episodes' earlier this year my nephew Albie was taken to Southampton General Hospital where he was diagnosed with frontal lobe epilepsy. Sadly this is a life-long condition requiring 24/7 supervision, but with the help of his neurologist, an epilepsy nurse, his fantastic family and a combination of drugs, the number of episodes has reduced from over 100 per day to less than 30 (mainly at night).
As a family they are all learning to live with their new 'normal' and big brother Archie has been incredible at adjusting and supporting Albie when he has his 'episodes'. I have been so proud of them all in how they have tried to continue with normal life and activities despite the challenges that epilepsy has thrown at them! We now call Albie our 'Epilepsy warrior'.
As all of this first happened during lockdown I was unable to be there and support them. So.... in a moment of complete madness and feeling the need to do something, I signed up for the marathon wanting to raise awareness of this type of epilepsy and support the fantastic work of the Epilepsy Society which includes:
