On the 9th and 10th of May, 19 of us will be cycling fom Workington to Newcastle in memory of our friend and colleague Andrew Hickie.  Andrew was born in Workington and later settled in Newcastle to work as a Town Planner and an inspirational manager to me at Gateshead Council.

Sadly he passed away just under a year ago on the 10 May leaving a wife and two young children.  Myself and the other friends are hoping to raise as much money as possible to support cancer research in Andrew's name.
