Earlier this year we lost a dear friend to cancer. Guy was an inspiration to us all – devoted father, insanely competitive athlete, hardcore gamer and true friend.

For over a decade our friendships were maintained during weekly marathon gaming sessions that became known as “Man Tuesday”. A day that was rarely missed without a seriously good reason, which had to be authorised by the group!

Even throughout his battle with cancer Guy was there with us every week. At times struggling to even make it up the stairs to his gaming cave, but never failing to make an appearance. Maybe he got energy from us, and in turn we got to spend more time with our hero while the world around us locked down. That time was precious, and we made good use of it.

To celebrate his life, and stubborn (legendary) determination, the Man Tuesday gang are swapping their gaming chairs for the comfort of a bike seat for the 140 mile Coast to Coast.

Guy might have done this in a day, but we’re giving ourselves a more realistic 3. It will be a journey to honour him, and if we can raise a little money for the cancer charity he supported that would be the icing on the cake.
