We rescue, rehabilitate and re-home equines to end suffering and improve their lives

Story

Hi everyone,  my name is Andrew Wilson, I am a local long distance runner and have been so for a number of years running in events both locally and nationally.

This year I have decided to raise valuable funds for Hope Pastures, Phyllis Harvey Horse and Donkey Trust, based in Weetwood, Leeds 16. They rescue, rehabilitate and, where possible, re-home horses, donkeys, mules, and ponies who have suffered ill-treatment and neglect. They also have a number of permanent residents in the Sanctuary. I became involved with this charity as a Volunteer in their small Visitors Centre in July 2013 and have always admired the work that the charity does. With this in mind I have decided to combine both my enjoyment of running with fundraising for what I consider to be an extremely worthwhile cause. I hope that everyone looking at this page would agree with me!

Any support you can give to all of us in any way you can would be much  appreciated!

Thank you from me and all at Hope Pastures,

Andrew

About the charity

Your donations help us to rescue and rehabilitate desperate horses, ponies and donkeys and find them loving new homes. We're open six days a week free of charge and provide a place where people can meet these animals, volunteer and learn new skills.
