We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In March 2023, I am taking on the challenge of trekking to Machu Picchu, Peru in aid of Cancer Research.

Cancer is something that will affect us all - whether we're one of the 1 in 2 who will get cancer at some point in our lives, or are impacted by those around us who themselves get cancer, it's a hugely important topic that none of us can ignore.

I've personally been impacted - my father-in-law died of pancreatic cancer, while my mother died of mouth cancer - there is no one who won't be impacted at some point during their lives. Which is why continued research and investment into the causes and care of cancer patients is so important.

Please take a moment to make a sponsorship of my trek to Machu Picchu, which itself is no small challenge.

I'll need to spend the next 6 months continuing to increase my personal fitness and training regime, (including altitude training, as on route I'll reach as high as 4,500m through the Quchusqasa pass up to Ancascocha), in order to make the full distance from Cusco to Machu Picchu.
