Story
My daughter Beth died in September 2013, aged 11 - a short life lived with an extraordinary vigour and enthusiasm.
Beth had problems with her kidneys and with her limbs, but she took on all manner of activities and faced any challenges with determination
(For example, see us winning gold in the wheelchair race at the Transplant Games below!)She inspired many around her with attitude to life, so raising money in her memory to help others 'achieve more' will be a fitting tribute.
One of the things she really enjoyed was horseriding at Bradbourne, which as an RDA centre, makes special provision for riders like B who need some extra help. It seeks to make riding accessible to everyone, whatever their limitations.
It is thanks to Bradbourne and its tireless helpers that Beth gained the confidence to enter her first dressage competition at Hickstead.
Now Bradbourne wants to expand its facilities so that it can help to train disabled riders in a safe setting. It has some ambitious plans which are just being worked out, and it needs our help.
Watch this space for more details of fundraising events, but in the meantime, please feel free to contribute to the cause.
