Team Galilee take on the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026, on Sunday 11th October, in aid of delivering our education projects for disadvantaged young Palestinians.

Story

This October, I'm running up for the Royal Parks Half Marathon in support of the Galilee Foundation — a UK-registered charity that has spent almost two decades helping Palestinian students get into and through university, and supporting grassroots education and cultural projects across Palestine and Israel.

Since it started, the Foundation's scholarship programme has helped over 1,100 Palestinian students access higher education, supporting around 250 students every year with financial and academic support. Something very close to my heart.

I'm setting myself a personal challenge alongside the fundraising one. My PB for this distance — 1:42:30 — was set when I was less than half the age I am now (see the pic in the gallery). Now 50, I'm going after that time again. Whether I get it or not, every mile will be run in support of young people whose access to education has never been more precarious.

Any amount you can give will genuinely help fund a scholarship, a workshop, or a lifeline for a student who needs it. Thank you for reading this far — and thank you in advance for anything you can spare.
