Story
Thank you for visiting my just giving page!
This past year has been a year where we have all had to try our best to make the best of what has been a very challenging time for everyone.
Finding ourselves in strict lockdowns due to COVID, put a stop to me visiting my favourite place, Abersoch; the place that makes me happy when life gets tough. I really wanted to use this time in lockdown to do something to help a cause close to my heart, whilst also keeping myself as healthy as possible.
Abersoch is a place that is very close to not only my heart, but to Chloe and Chloe’s family. Chloe sadly passed away in 2017 and since then Chloe’s family have had a very close relationship with the amazing charity “Blood Bikes Wales”, recently donating the “Chloe Lou” Blood bike in memory.
The challenge - I am going to run the distance from my door to Abersoch - 109 miles. I would like you all to read a little bit about the amazing charity and all that they do, and please dig deep to donate whatever you can as Blood Bikes Wales is a charity that solely relies on donations, and volunteers.
Bloody Bikes Wales transport not only blood but plasma, platelets, samples, vaccines, donor breast milk, and any other urgently required medical items to hospitals at night, weekends & bank holidays. They deal with reactive, emergency calls, whilst also supporting the Air Ambulance.
This is what the charity had to say about the Chloe Lou bike
“Chloe Lou bike has done so much work since she arrived with us, in less than a year she has cover 25,500 miles and is loved by all the use her”
