The William Merritt Disabled Living Centre was established in 1981 – the International Year of Disabled People and was named after Councillor William Merritt. We provide impartial information, advice and assessment on equipment and practical aspects of daily living. www.wmdlc.org

Story

Following on from our Coast to Coast ride last year (photo of us arriving on Tynemouth beach), myself, Nigel Chippindale and 'Fred' Ogley are riding from Tynemouth to Edinburgh Castle at the end of  May - 200 miles in 3 days on mountain bikes.

We are riding in  order to raise money for the William Merritt Disabled Living Centre in Leeds (link attached.) This is a fantastic organisation and donations are very important to continue the valuable work of the centre.

The centre supports disabled children and adults by providing adapted equipment to make everyday life more accesible, my sister Annette is an Occupational Therapist who has worked there for 18 years. Any small donation would be very appreciated - Many thanks Andrew.
