Event: Regatta London 2019, on 29 September 2019
Regatta London was the UK's first mass participation paddle sports event, due to run on 29 September 2019 but was cancelled due to the weather. FRBC crews are now taking on a marathon rowing challenge instead!

Story

Regatta London Cancelled

It's with deep regret to report that Regatta London has been cancelled. An increasingly deteriorating weather forecast called into doubt the ability to close the Thames Barrier. This, coupled with ongoing capacity problems in the sewage network, and 35mph gusts, meant that the event could not go ahead for safety reasons.
We want to thank everyone wholeheartedly who donated to our fundraising campaign. The total raised (at time of writing) stands at £6850! This will go a long way in supporting our charitable
goals.
As this event has been cancelled, we will look to host our own event in the near future to compensate. Stay tuned!
