Tour of England for Refugee Support Europe · 10 October 2022

Across Europe, people on the move face an increasingly hostile environment, often after a traumatic journey. Refugee Support's pioneering Dignity Centres provide a safe, welcoming space where people on the move can choose food and hygiene items, just like a normal shopping experience.

Story

My friend and ex-work associate Paul Hutchings co-founded Refugee Support Europe to give help to refugees fleeing conflict zones. This year, the charity is working harder than ever on the borders of Ukraine to help those fleeing that conflict. My 6-day ride (10-15 October - see below) of 500+ KM aims to raise awareness and funds for their great work. Paul writes:

Your donation gives a refugee family something extra – their dignity back.We fill the gaps in the support they need to help them now and in their futures. But *how* we do things is just as important as *what* we do. We do it in a way that puts dignity and normality first. As a a small and independent charity, all of your donation goes where it is most needed. And it gets there quickly. We're also committed to supporting the local, host community.

Follow the ride - or even ride along for part of the way (contact me direct for details)! Each night I'm staying with a work associate from my brilliant market research network www.theicg.co.uk : Many thanks to Lynne, Nanda, Martin and Mary - all fab hosts.
