Story

Thank you for visiting my Milton Keynes Marathon JustGiving page.

I'm fundraising so Advantage Africa can help people affected by poverty, disability and HIV to improve their education, health and incomes.  As most of you know, I’m Director of the charity and promise we’ll use your donation to help the most vulnerable to overcome their many challenges, work their way out of poverty and become self-reliant.

It’s your support, and the thought of helping people like Faith in Uganda that will get me to the finish of the 26.2 mile course on 6th May. Advantage Africa helped single parent Faith come back from the brink, regain her health and learn new skills in garment-making with which to earn an income to meet her family’s needs. She now cares for seven orphaned children, takes her medicines regularly and has real hope for the future.

Please give generously to support the aspirations of people like Faith to overcome poverty, care for others and discover a better life. JustGiving will pass on your sponsorship donation to Advantage Africa directly together with any Gift Aid due. Just £30 will provide a woman living with HIV with training and materials to make a new start. Thank you.

For my part I will give it my all to finish the marathon as fast as I can. I’m accountable in this endeavour and you check my updates below to see if I’ve been training enough!
