I first came across 'Centre Point' in September 1969. I'd just moved into shared accommodation in the Central YMCA at the junction of Gt Russell St and Tottenham Ct Rd. My first view the following morning was the empty high rise building recently erected - clearly obvious to the many homeless in London. Very soon after that, I became aware of the Centrepoint Charity and the work they were doing for the homeless and have subsequently regularly supported them.

When the opportunity arose to run for Centrepoint at the 2025 London Landmarks Half Marathon I knew it would be an amazing opportunity - and just the incentive I needed - to run further than I ever have before and raise money for this fantastic Charity.

One week to go! Nearly six months training completed so i should be ready and I have the running vest!
