5K a Day in May for Campaign Against Living Miserably

Andrina Nisbet is raising money for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably)

5K a Day in May 2026 · 1 May 2026 to 31 May 2026 ·

125 people die by suicide every week in the UK. CALM exists to change this. We're the Campaign Against Living Miserably and we're on a mission to unite the UK against suicide. Last year, we answered 75,000 calls to our suicide prevention helpline.

Story

I will be running* a minimum of 5km a Day in May in support of the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).

My sister, Kemela Chotoye (née Nisbet) passed away in March after an awful struggle with her mental health.

I’m raising money to support the charity’s life-saving services, helping them reach people who are struggling and may feel like they have nowhere else to turn.

CALM is a charity standing against hopelessness, challenging harmful stereotypes, and reminding people that life is always worth living. Every week, 125 people in the UK take their own lives — and CALM exists to change that, through support services, national conversation, and bringing people together.

If you’re able to donate or share, it would mean a lot 🤍

* on 21st I realised I may need to walk some days to prevent injury/burnout. Overall running kms will still be equivalent to 5kms a day on average ☺️
