Virgin London Marathon 2014 · 13 April 2014 ·

We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

Hi, I'm Andy.

I'm 42 years old. Dad of 4 and recently became a Grandad for the first time! I am absolutely thrilled to be running the London marathon to assist the NSPCC.

I enjoy football refereeing in my spare time and love to take on new challenges and have the willpower to succeed.

So why the NSPCC?

Well, there really are so many worthwhile causes to support. I did apply to run for a few, but have been offered a place to run on behalf of the NSPCC

Supporting this charity is very close to my heart.

I have first hand experience of assisting an adult survivor of child abuse, to overcome their past. It was a very traumatic thing to endure for me, so I can only imagine the horror it must have been for the survivor. Cruelty has to stop and if I, in my small way can help, then I'm delighted to do so.

Please give as much as you can to support this endeavour.

If you haven't got cash, then please send us your positive wishes that those who have may help!

Thanks

Andy
