Sometimes, the best medical care isn't close to home. Ronald McDonald House Charities provides free 'home away from home' accommodation for families with children in hospital, so they can stay together whilst their children receive the treatment they need. 

Having a sick child can impact families across all areas of their lives. Time, money, stress, loss of education and loss of earnings are but a few of the ways in which families can be affected by their child being cared for in hospital. RMHC work with families to allow them to focus on supporting their child and do their utmost to lessen the other stresses. Children that require specialist medical care can often be in hospital for months or even years at a time. 

There are Ronald McDonald Houses across the UK, all just moments away from their respective children's wards, with plans for further developments well under-way.The Charity has been supporting families for 30 years and in this time has supported nearly 50,000 families. As an independent charity, they rely on the support and generosity of volunteers, fundraisers and donors, including you!
