Canstruction is a charitable competition where students design and build artistic structures made entirely of canned and boxed food using STEAM principles such as engineering, mathematics, the arts, design and 3D modeling and problem solving.

Story

Supporting Students, Promoting STEM and Helping to Feed the Hungry...All in One Event!!! Students from Midland County schools (including Dow High, Midland High, Bullock Creek High, Sanford/Meridian, Northeast Middle and Jefferson Middle), will be competing in this event, that will take place at the Midland Mall on February 21, 2020. They will construct sculptures using non-perishable food items. Each structure will take approximately 2,000 items of food. Help us raise the money needed to purchase the food and other materials needed to make this event a great success for the students. Also, please plan to visit the Midland Mall between Feb 21 - Feb 29 to view the sculptures and vote for your favorite in the People's Choice Award competition. At the end of the event, all money and food will be donated back to the Midland County Emergency Food Pantry Network (EFPN) to be distributed to people in need throughout Midland County.
