Story

After a Saturday night in the company of ‘friends’ and too much red wine I ‘volunteered’ to join some of these ‘friends’ on an 18 day trek to Everest Base Camp.  Selfishly, I think my 18 days of pain and (very) basic living should count for something so I have set up this Just Giving page so that your kind and generous donations can find their way to a very good cause………

In November 2011 my wife’s best friend since primary school died.  Her name was Pauline Donnelly.  She was a very special person and the Southside ILD (Interstitial Lung Disease) support group was set up in memory of her.  This group assists those with ILD to improve the quality of their remaining life and helps to maximize their independence, something Pauline was so passionate about.

I would like my journey to Everest to not just to be a personal life changing experience but one that can go some way towards enhancing the life of others who need support at such a difficult time.

Please can I ask that you dig deep and support this very worthy cause.  THANK YOU!
