Story

Can't Control my Soul 2021

Last year's song got over 1000 views and raised £1400 for Sheffield University's Parkinson's Research Programme.

I would like to thank everyone who contributed or helped by passing on the message.

Since then, probably everyone in the country has been affected by the Covid Pandemic.

We must remember the people who we have lost, and our thoughts are with those who have been left with unresolved problems.

In the battle against Covid we do however have grounds for optimism.

For this reason, the 2021 version of 'Can't Control My Soul' has a more upbeat feel and is intended to convey a message that can apply to everyone.

Sometimes we must accept that things happen over which we have no control.

But by trying to maintain a sense of humour and keep alight a defiant spark, we can show the world that we have not been defeated.

What has been clearly demonstrated is that if sufficient resources are invested in to research and development, then science has the potential to do amazing things.

There is still no cure for Parkinson's, but research brings us closer all the time.

Please share this message and if you would like to support the vital Parkinson's Research Programme being carried out at Sheffield University please make a donation.

If you missed out on last years message, which specifically related to the lesser-known symptoms of Parkinson's you can still find it on YouTube under 'Can't Control My Soul'.

Special thanks to Andrej, The Mind Music Mentor, for arranging the music and providing backing instrumentals.

Best wishes

Andy
