We support people affected by bipolar to manage their condition in everyday life

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We are the Blackpool Bipolar Peer Support Group and we are teaming up with friends, family and other supporters to “Walk out of Lockdown together”. Under the name, Bootiful Soles, we will collectively walk the Pan American Highway, from the North of Alaska to the tip of South America. An epic 35,292,320 steps in aid of Bipolar UK ( that is 15 x the distance of Lands End to John O Groats) 24,203Kms!

We’ve completed the walk!!! We came from Alaska, through North America down to Mexico and reached the tip of South America heading for our collective goal. It took us  a Year and 2 months but with the help of our members we made it 😃

Why are we doing it?

Throughout the Pandemic the Blackpool Peer Support Group worked as a team to support each other through the challenges of Lockdown. Together through friendship, understanding, tears and laughter, we adapted to a community online with regular Zoom groups and the Bipolar E Community.

About Bipolar UK

Bipolar UK supports those affected by providing resources and information via its website and social media. It offers peer support through community and national groups (many of which are now online), an e-community and a one-to-one peer support telephone line.
