Story

Hi All,

I'll be 40 in 2022 and in lieu of a proper midlife crisis, I thought I'd run a marathon. Given that I am a cyclist and not a runner, I might back out at any moment. SO! Here's your opportunity to shame me into it by giving money to charity at my behest.

The fact that food banks exist in 2022 is a great sadness to anyone who wants to live in a caring, fair and equal society (so that's everyone then?). In the UK, more than 14 million people are living in poverty – including 4.5 million children. The Trussell Trust support more than 1,200 food bank centres to provide a minimum of three days’ nutritionally-balanced emergency food to people who have been referred in crisis, as well as support to help people resolve the crises they face. The ultimate goal of the Trussell Trust is a fairer society where nobody wonders where their next meal is coming from or must rely on the kindness of their community in order to put food on their table #TogetherForChange.

Don't forget to add GiftAid if you can...

Thank you for supporting me and the Trussell Trust.
