The Fred Whitton Challenge is one of the most popular sportives in the UK and is also famed as being particularly difficult! It's 112 miles on the toughest route in Britain - it will probably be the hardest one-day ride you will ever complete!

Story

The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) rescues hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year throughout the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. Their doctor-led critical care teams deliver life-saving treatments at the scene of the incident whether that is on a fell top, a roadside or in a city centre. The charity responded to 1,640 call outs last year* alone, via their helicopter and emergency response vehicles, where they performed treatments and procedures which can mean the difference between life or death.

🚴‍♂️Hi there, it’s  Andy here 🚴‍♂️

I’ve been selected to participate in the UK’s premier cycling event, The Fred Whitton.  This  involves cycling over 112 miles and enduring some of the toughest climbs in England.

The event takes place on Sunday 7th of May. Please if you can, will you sponsor me with a donation to The Great North Air Ambulance Service 🚁. This great charity rescues 100’s of people every year.

Thank you Andy 👍
