Walking for Prostate Cancer Support Organisation

The Coleridge Way · 2 May 2022
Last Summer I volunteered for a free PSA test with Prostate Cancer Support Organisation (PCaSO). The PSA (prostate specific antigen) test can provide a good indication of prostate cancer and is not generally offered to men of my age through the NHS.
Unfortunately my PSA test came back very high and after further testing, confirmed I have prostate cancer.
I underwent surgery in February which removed my prostate and hopefully all of the cancer.
The results following my op showed the cancer was trying to spread and the operation was literally just in time.
I won't have the all clear until I get 5 years of clear tests and to help keep the cancer from returning, I need to keep myself as fit and healthy as possible. So, I will be doing plenty of long walks and will try and raise some cash for PcASO on the way...
My first sponsored walk will be The Coleridge Way, a 51 mile walk from Exmoor to The Quantock over 3 days, which I'll be undertaking this Summer (2022).
