Strictly Best Foot Forward for Bury Hospice 2019 · 9 September 2019 to 7 December 2019 ·

Bury Hospice does 'Strictly come Dancing' as 32 contestants gear up for the dance challenge of their life. Each will spend 12 weeks learning new dances to be performed in front of a live audience.

Story

I lost my wife and life partner Jeanette (Jan)after 46 years together in March 2019, she was 67 years old.

Jan was diagnosed with with brain cancer in January and passed away peacefully at home 12 weeks later wrapped in her daughter Michelle and my arms.

During our many years together sh often tried to get me to learn to  ballroom dance, but I now regret I always seemed to find some excuse not to.

I would love to think that by doing this now I would make her very proud.

I am also very keen to raise as much money to support what I consider to be a marvelous cause, Bury Hospice supported myself and Jan through the very darkest of time.Long may they continue to help others in need, we just don't know what's round the corner.

I hope you will help me to raise some badly needed cash, and help me to get some weight off !!!
