Story
The Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber Foundation Trust (RDaSH), provides mental health, learning disability and community services throughout its district and is a charitable cause that is extremely close to my heart.
Having experienced what these services offer through close family who needed support, I thought it was time that I try and do something to aid them.
As many of you may know, I am a keen runner and I’ve decided to put myself to the ultimate test by applying for the Rasselbock Back Yard Ultra. On Saturday 4th March, I will be taking on this challenge in aid of the RDaSH Foundation Trust at Sherwood Forrest to help raise vital funds so that they can continue to support those who need it. The premise is simple: the event has no fixed length in time or distance, I must run the same 4.16-mile loop every hour, until I simply can’t run anymore. The winner will be declared once the last runner is left standing. Races in the past have gone over 100 hours, so this really is the ultimate test of stamina!
I know things are a little tight at the moment, but any donation, little or large will help not only motivate me to keep my legs going through the tough terrain I face but will also supply valuable and vital support to this amazing charitable cause. Thank you for your support.
