Story
Having seen some of the great challenges people have done I have decided I will try and put to use my ability to run very slowly by completing a lockdown marathon. As such, TODAY (Easter Monday) I will be trying to do a marathon in our one-bedroom London flat (sorry Emily). If I finish it will mean running back and forth over 5m over 8,500 times.
I am going to be raising money for the Trussell Trust who do a great job running hundreds of food banks across the country. As a social worker I have seen the value these have in helping the most vulnerable families and know the difference they can make. Since the CoronaVirus outbreak demand for food banks has surged, while at the same time they have had reduced supply and also lost the support of many elderly volunteers who are in self isolation. A £10 donation can provide a family with an evening meal.
I will start at 9am and if you can please donate. I will wear a dress for an embarrassingly small amount of money.
