30 Munros Mountain Marathon · 21 March 2022

Our Mission is to inspire people through the power of mountain adventure, climbing and community in wild places. Our purpose is to remove barriers for young people who want to explore the beauty, freedom and value of our natural world.

Story

My name is Andrew, I’m 16 years old and I live on the Isle of Arran. I’m very passionate about the outdoors and I was lucky enough to be one of eight young people on the first Martin Moran course. The course furthered my interests and developed me as an outdoorsman. To show my appreciation of the work they did I’m hoping to raise money for the charity. The plan was to run a 4 day 170K route containing 30 Munros, now finished I only managed 15 due to conditions and having to call off the last day.

On this adventure I learned lots about risk mainly from a guy who I met on the second day - 'risk is like toasting marshmallows, it's sweet but can burn your tongue off.' My plan to climb 60 for my dad's 60th is still on and achievable.
