Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
On 26 April 2009 I ran 26.2 miles in the London Marathon. I finished in 3 hours and 49 minutes. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way!!! The unexpected hot weather added to the chalenge but made crossing the line feel even more special. Thank you. Photos to follow.
I am hoping that you will support me by sponsoring me.
Please note that this site only allows space for one charity, but prior to giving you should realise that all monies raised will be split evenly between Thomas's Fund and the Children with Leukaemia charity.
Children with Leukaemia are the UK’s leading charity dedicated to fighting Britain’s biggest childhood cancer.
For more than 20 years, the charity has been helping children affected by leukaemia. They fund research into causes and treatments, support families through welfare programmes and campaign on their behalf. They need our help to continue the fight against childhood leukaemia.
Thomas's Fund provides Music Therapy in Northamptonshire for children & young people with life limiting illnesses or a disability, which, due to medical reasons, has meant they are too ill to attend school for extended periods. Thomas's Fund is dedicated to Thomas Smith who died at the age of 10 from a life limiting condition. Music Therapy had a very important role in Thomas's life.
If the training goes to plan I will cover over 600 miles from the beginning of the year to the start of the race. I am hoping to complete the race in about one and a half hours (after the winner crosses the finish line!!!).
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: the charities gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
