I'm going to be spending a night sleep rough for Exeter YMCA. Still not 100% sure why I'm doing this...but I think it might be that as a worker for the YMCA I've seen first hand some of the people affected by rough sleeping and it's a very sad situation to be in. I have no pretence that one night will give me a full understanding of it but hopefully will help me know more and be able to work better with the young men and women we support. I also didn't appreciate how big a problem homelessness was until I started working here and hope that by doing this others might start to notice it as well and want to do something about it. So please sponsor me and the YMCA for this event or visit www.sleepeasyexeter.org.uk and sign up to do it yourself.
