Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-shortening genetic condition that slowly destroys the lungs and digestive system. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity fighting for a life unlimited, when everyone living with CF can look forward to a long, healthy life. www.cysticfibrosis.org.uk

Story

Running for CF in memory of my Sister-in-law Tracy who died from Cystic fibrosis back in 2012

Cystic fibrosis trust really looked after her before and even after her death. The charity is only funded by kind donations and any amount goes towards  research and care for sufferers.

This time last year I thought I was training to complete my 1st marathon in April (Manchester marathon) obviously this got cancelled, and couldn’t raise money for CF . I stopped running but I was recommended the David Goggins book.  After listening to his audiobook, I was more driven than ever and have since completed 4 marathons and and an ultra marathon (50k)

People have said I should set up a donation page for one of my runs. So here it is. I thought I’d set a more difficult challenge, hopefully to help you all part with more money for my charity.

I’ll be starting on 5th March at 4pm Friday, and then every 4 hours - 8pm, 12am. 4am, 8am ...etc

Last run will be 12pm Sunday which I will be running the St.Helens 10k (virtual)

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function. Currently, half of those with CF will not live past age 41.The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
