Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Each year a race is held over one of the classic mountain stages of the year's Tour de France. This year it is being held over the epic 172km stage to the 1912m (6300ft) 'Giant of Provence', Mont Ventoux, one of cyclists most feared climbs.
This year I will be riding this mad event it to raise money for the MS Society!!
In all 5 moutains will be climbed!
Côte de Citelle 5,2 km climb to 428m
Col d'Ey 6,3 km climb to 718m
Col de Fontaube 4,7 km climb to 635m
Col de Notre-Dame des Abeilles 7,8 km climb to 996m
Mont Ventoux par Bédoin 21,2 km climb to 1912m
All of this is done in one day with a strict time limit. The French regard this as a race!!!
PLEASE NOTE: The MS Society has supported my entry into the race but all costs for training, race entry, travel and accomodation will be met by myself so any money donated here will go directly to the MS Society.
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is the most common disabling neurological condition affecting young adults. Around 85,000 people in the UK have MS. My wife was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2002 so I'm supporting the MS Society. Please support the charity (and my months and months of training) by donating here.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Multiple Sclerosis Society of Great Britain & Northern Ireland gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
