 My name is Andy Starling and on December 1 I will be walking from Melkshamto the BRI raising money for the Wiltshire air ambulance charity. The route taken has a special place for my family, It was the flight path taken by the helicopter 2 years ago and undoubtedly saved my dads life when he went into cardiac arrest. He’s had a tremendous recovery since mainly due to the speed of transport by the ambulance along with the amazing people who were on site, and is now back to full health. The one positive that came off the back of all this was it kicked my ass into gear in getting into shape, even though I’ve still got a long way to go I’ve lost over 12 stone and vastly improved my health, fitness and quality of life. A fundraiser for the air ambulance who saved my dad is something I’ve wanted to do and if you could dig deep into your pockets and help me raise as much money as we can. The walk should take me between 11-12 hours at a total distance of nearly 30 miles. You can keep track of my fitness progress and the progress of my donations on my fitness Facebook page
