Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I'm running in the York Jane Tomlinson 10k run on 2nd August and am hoping to collect as much as possible for Macmillan Cancer Support. They provide a fantastic service to those with cancer and to their family, friends and helpers. Last year my dad died of bowel cancer and Macmillans helped him and my family tremendously arranging appointments, telling us what was happening and what to expect and providing a friendly smile when it was most needed. Julie, who was Dad's nurse was a great help and a lovely lady.

Any cancer charity is particularly dear to my heart. As it happens I also have a type of cancer called Lymphoma and am undergoing chemotherapy presently and will have had my 6th cycle of treatment 2 days before the race. Any shouts of encouragement on the way will be welcomed from any of you that decide to come along to York to watch the event.
