Fundraising for Andy Thornton

Ian Peirce is raising money for St John Ambulance
In memory of Andy Thornton
The nation’s leading first aid charity. Every year, more than 400,000 people learn how to save a life through our training programmes. Our volunteers provide first aid in their communities and thanks to them fewer lives will be lost needlessly. Raise money. Help save lives. Be the difference.

Story

Andy was passionate about St John Ambulance and the first aid courses they provide. St John people make a positive impact every day from responding to emergencies, to supporting communities and saving lives.

First aid volunteers are trained to help those suffering from injury or sudden illness, to alleviate pain and suffering, and occasionally even to save a life. Often proper immediate medical care can make a big difference.

Many of us have witnessed life-saving and crucial help to the injured, provided by trained first aid volunteers. Simply, their presence enables us to hold sporting events such as our orienteering. This training is an essential part of our sport. The support of St John Ambulance would not be possible without charity funding.

Andy's family would be grateful for donations to St John Ambulance. Please donate what you can and add gift aid wherever possible.

Love and best wishes to all.
