On 14th July I will be competing in my first ironman (Bolton, UK). This accorond to kat will be my first and last ironman I will he doing. 

10 days after the event I will be flying to Kenyawith seven other people to do some charity work with the Kenya hope charity. This is a small charity that works with a poor community in Ulumbi (West Kenya), working with a local organisation to fund school fees, paying for seeds and generally supporting the most needy. 

The charity run a sponsorship programme enabling the children to go to school, buy school uniforms, some have a school bag with different items, along with a meal while they are there. I have a passion to see children achieve their best whatever their circumstances and surroundings. 

I will also be spending time the children in the community to see what their needs are and how I can help.  

The funds will go towards:

1) Some travel costs

2) To undertake some community projects while we are in Kenya that have been identified by the people in the village. Previous funds have helped with providing clean water, building houses, providing seed and fertiliser for planting crops, feeding programmes as well as developing the schools.
