Thames Challenge · 9 September 2017 to 10 September 2017 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Hello there! Thank you for coming to my fundraising page and huge thank you to those who have donated so far!

Every now and then I sign up for something that I am totally unprepared to do- this year its the Thames Challenge- a 100km route that you can walk/jog/run continuously, on 9/10th September.

I will be doing this partly for myself but mostly to raise money for the amazing Stroke Association. Those of you who know me well will know the effects that Stroke has had on people close to me. I have witnessed first hand the incredible support that the Stroke Association offers those who have suffered a stroke, as well as their families. Additionally, they work with stroke rehabilitation organisations around the world to build capacity and share best practices.

Whatever you can spare, i'd greatly appreciate it. And if you can't spare money, messages of support, hugs, training tips, drinks etc- also hugely appreciated!
