So please dig deep and donate now. Mum was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer on 1st September 2011 (her Father's Birthday) which devastated us all. She was a size 20 then. Her journey was a struggle.... not one of her proceedures went smoothly, she was a size 4 when she passed. Her strong heart, and her faith kept her going until her ravaged wee body could take no more. She is finally at rest, but leaves behind family and friends who miss her terribly. Side by side my Dad and I cared for her, heartbreaking though that was, I wouldn't swap this time for the world. I would not wish this dreadful disease on anyone and this is the reason why we want to raise as much as we can, so that hopefully, future generations will be spared the pain and suffering which it causes. We fully appreciate that this is only one such story and empathy now replaces sympathy.... Every donation large or small does make a difference!
