Every five minutes, stroke destroys lives. You can help us rebuild them by joining and supporting #TeamStroke in taking on the biggest Half Marathon in the world.

Story

As many of you will be aware, I lost my beautiful Mam in May of 2018. Mam had suffered a Stroke which doctors think may have been brought on by an undetected heart attack some days earlier . With clear determination and fight, Mam fought in hospital for 2 weeks but sadly passed away peacefully on 19 May 2018 .

To say this came as a massive shock is an understatement and completely rocked my world. Mam was also the carer of my Dad who himself has dementia and as a result of her death had to receive full time care in a nursing home.

I ran GNR in 2017 for Dementia UK and Dad and I now need to do this for Mam. I know she will be cheering me on all the way, watching over me as she has always done.

I will make you proud Mam and I love and miss you every minute of every day .
