Steve gets the snip! · 18 January 2018

Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma. We make it possible to live longer and better lives with myeloma. Through research and treatments, we find new ways to a cure. Together, we are the cure.

Story

On 12th April our friend and colleague Debbie Holbrook (formerly Howarth) was diagnosed with Myeloma cancer. This was a terrible shock to all who know this fun loving, bubbly, life-and-soul lady. Then on the 2nd June came the devastating blow that Debbie has a second cancer, Amyloidosis - a rare cancer that is still being researched.

On Thursday 18th January 2018 one of our drivers, Steve Gaiger, is stepping forward to help raise money and awareness and will be having the snip...yes Steve is cutting off his locks! Steve has only had his hair cut once, almost 20 years ago for his wedding day. Anyone who knows Steve knows how big this is for him. And although he is very attached, 'Ponytail Steve' will be no more!

The money raised will go to Myeloma UK, and Steve will also donate his hair to Little Princess Trust, who provide real wigs for teens who have lost their hair to cancer.

PLEASE HELP US TO RAISE AS MUCH AS WE CAN!
