My journey began with a lump on my neck. I was diagnosed with Follicular thyroid cancer. I had three different operations and went through radiotherapy treatment. 5 years on I am still cancer free. 
Thyroid cancer is one not many people are aware of. It can affect you in several ways and you can undergo different types of treatments. I had found out the severity of my cancer once I had my operations. Though it is not as severe as other cancer types it stills affects you emotionally and physically.
Cancer is a dreaded word. But I just want to say that there is so much support available and needs to be fought with a positive attitude, after all we are getting closer to finding a cure.
