Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page; as you can see, the 2020 target of £2000 was reached and hopefully will be now repeated - and possibly even exceeded - even though no specific target was set for 2025!. You may be interested to know that in the UK someone is diagnosed with Parkinson's every 20 minutes and, by 2050, the number of people with it worldwide will have doubled to 25 million.
AS COMPUTER INCORRECTLY RECORDING THIS YEAR'S SPONSORSHIP, PLEASE NOTE TOTAL (INcluding GiftAid and AS AT 3rd JANUARY 2026) is £3010.27 AND NOT AS SHOWN .......- As this Page will soon close, I will not continue to update as further donations are not now expected, but apologise for the misleading information for the past year.
As a Parkinson's Brain Donor myself, having lost my Grandmother when I was 10 and, during the course of the past 70 years, known sufferers of both Parkinson's and similar, sometimes worse, neurological conditions, The Wing Walk to celebrate my 75th birthday made a small contribution to an organisation that now seems to be making important headway, certainly in enabling mobility where immobility had been the way of life.It appears from the above Total that my 2nd Flight on 5th July last year has further supported the efforts of Parkinson's UK. This Page will now close and I thank you all for your generosity.
