Unseen is one of Burges Salmon's partner charities, so Helena, Pav and I are running the London Landmarks half marathon, to raise funds for the charity.

Unseen is committed to working towards a world without modern slavery.  It currently estimates there are more than 130,000 people affected by modern slavery and human trafficking in the UK.  The International Labor Organization has recently confirmed the number has risen to 50 million, across the globe.  

Unseen supports survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking to rebuild their lives, by providing a Helpline and safehouses, as well as influencing the government to develop a long-term approach to support victims and end modern slavery.

Given the disheartening occurrences we are witnessing, from the war in Ukraine to the effects of COVID-19, migrants are seeking safety in the UK but unfortunately they face the risk of exploitation.
